It's Electric!!

OK.... now they are going so fast that we can hardly keep up... and some of the changes are too small to really be able to take a picture of it, but here's the last of the pics that we'll post prior to closing, which as we found out today will be March 27!! We'll probably officially move in a couple of weeks later though because Becky's work schedule is just disastrous for normal planning purposes. We'll work on getting everything ready to move in prior to then, like painting the garage floor, putting up a fence, closet system and all kinds of other goodie goodie things. Until then, we'll just post some verbal updates and then have a big "reveal" of the finished place. Just wanna build the suspense a little, ya know?

Concrete and Countertops!

The countertops in the kitchen and baths were installed this week. WOW! Lara says that she knows something like this shouldn't make her so happy, but it does! The countertops show her true "princess" moment with the choices in the house... she just HAD to have quartz.... my my my.

The driveway and sidewalk were poured this week as well. It's really coming together. We predict that we are about 30-40 days away from closing. We aren't looking forward to the "living in a construction zone" but we can't wait to move in...

Cabinets and Paint

This past weekend they began painting the exterior of the house and this week they started interior painting. We were a little confused today when we went to take pictures of the inside b/c when we arrived they were re-plastering the ceiling (after it had been painted). We think that maybe this is to further smooth out the wallboard?  We'll see. Finally, they installed the cabinets yesterday. We think they are beautiful!

They have painted the outside of the house. It's darker than we originally thought it would be, but it's turning out very nicely!

They're also ready to start painting on the inside... all the trim and doors are up!

Mantle!

She's a brick... house!! (kinda)

Ok, so the brick is only around the bottom of the house and around the front porch, but don't it look mighty fine? We think it looks awesome.
